are currently looking to recruit flexible and motivated full time and part time Support Workers to work in an exciting new Supported Living Service setting in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. We have both full time and part time posts available.

Experience in the health and social care sector isn't necessary as we will provide a full induction programme with ongoing training and support.

Silver Springs Support Ltd

provide support predominantly for individuals with a Learning Disability and/or Autism. Our person-centred approach enables individuals to live within their own home, increasing their independence, promoting decision making and ability to actively participate in their local community.

Each day brings new opportunities, new ideas and new challenges. Our support workers enjoy promoting independence and participation in activities, encouraging inclusion for the people we support and helping to build key skills. Support work is varied and challenging and there is no denying that it can be tough but as well as having hard days, it is intensely rewarding and enjoyable.

Responsibilities of a Support Worker:



Your role will be to support people in their daily lives, and this can include personal care of either gender according to their individual assessed needs. Personal care may involve assisting people to take a bath or shower, going to the toilet and take or manage their own medication Provide support, including (but not limited to) help with personal care, budgeting, shopping, cleaning, cooking, laundry and assistance with medication. You will also support in engaging in social activities and assisting the person to maintain relationships with family and friends and being active in their community including employment or study. Provide support in a way that helps to achieve social value. Maximise and promote everyone's independence, choice, dignity and privacy. To provide support in all daily living activities to suit the needs and wishes of the individuals, keeping them healthy, safe and fulfilled.

We are looking for someone who:



Is committed to supporting people to live lifestyles of their choosing Can work as part of a team Demonstrates positive values Promotes and maintains independence, choice and respect Has the ability to work to a high standard on your own initiative and as part of a larger team is willing to go the extra mile Can maintain confidentiality and shows professionalism in their work Has a full UK Driving Licence and access to their own vehicle with the relevant business insurance however several people we support have got their own vehicles. A QCF or NVQ 2 or 3 in Care, or another relevant field is desirable but not essential. Has a current registration with Social Care Wales or is willing to complete the registration within the specified timescale.

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure which will be completed upon successful interview and full application form. All applications will be dealt with on an individual basis in accordance with our policy and organisational requirements.

The hours of work will be covering a shift pattern so may include Bank Holidays, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers which are paid at the full hourly rate.
