Hours:

Full and Part-time hours available

Salary:

12.74 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at 60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 45p per mile

What you'll be doing:




In this rewarding

Female Support Worker

role based in Swansea, you'll be part of a vibrant team supporting individuals across 14 supported living services, all tailored to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities. A key part of the role involves encouraging community access and helping people engage with local opportunities that enrich their lives. You might also support individuals to take part in activities at our dedicated commu-nity hub, the Social Bean, which runs a weekly programme including bingo, cookery ses-sions, and Zumba. One of the people we support is especially proud to volunteer at the hub, using her creativity to design the posters that promote upcoming events.





Each day in this role might bring something different -- you might be supporting someone to manage their money, maintain their home, or access essential appointments, while also helping them build confidence and independence through meaningful routines and active lifestyles. For example, one of the people we support finds that physical activity, such as running and movement-based exercise, really helps her manage challenging behaviour in a positive and empowering way. This is a hands-on role and may include personal care, so it's important you feel confident providing this support when needed. Due to the needs of the people we support and the requirement to travel between services and out into the community,

being a driver with access to your own vehicle is essential.

No experience is required as full is training provided. We'd love to hear from you if you:




have patience and empathy can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity have strong communication and teamwork skills are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning.
