Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their various settings, including their homes and assisted living facilities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those you support through companionship, and daily living assistance.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met. Support clients with mobility and transportation, including driving to appointments or activities. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by assisting with light housekeeping tasks. Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals. Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing care and support. Experience in senior care, supported living facility, or similar fields is advantageous. Ability to drive and possess a valid driving licence is essential. Knowledge of patient care practices within assisted living settings. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Empathy and patience when dealing with clients' needs and concerns. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
