We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Briery Park Care Home. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is vital in helping clients maintain their independence while receiving the support they require.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
Usage of digital care plans.
Support clients in maintaining a clean and safe environment within care home.
Engage with clients to promote social interaction and emotional support, enhancing their overall quality of life.
Monitor and document client progress, reporting any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to deliver comprehensive patient care tailored to individual needs.
Facilitate activities that promote physical and mental well-being, including exercise and recreational pursuits.
Requirements
Previous experience in care homes, nursing homes, home care, or assisted living environments is preferred but not essential as full training to be provided.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in following care plans.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in approach.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals of all ages.
Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certification related to patient care.

Skills
Experience in dementia care is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages.
Previous experience in care settings is advantageous.
Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.
Ability to perform meal preparation and assist with dietary needs.
Familiarity with home care practices and care home environments is a plus.
