Our teams provide individualised care and support for people with learning disabilities, autistic people and people with physical disabilities living in their community. At Tithe Barn, our 2-bedroom service located on the outskirts of Maidenhead near Bray Lake, we support two

female

customers with moderate to severe learning disabilities. We recognise that each person has unique interests, needs and preferences, and we support our customers to be self-sufficient and work closely with them and their support networks to explore options to help them reach their goals.

We are recruiting

support workers

to work on either a

full-

or

part-time

basis covering a mix of mornings, afternoons and weekends.

Your role will be to support our customers in their day-to-day lives and could include assistance with personal care, managing medication, shopping and meal preparation, and supporting with emotional and physical wellbeing. We also provide support with life skills such as improving confidence, managing finances and being part of the local community to maintain important relationships.

At this time, we are only able to consider applications from people who have experience of behaviours that challenge in either a learning disability or mental health care setting. Previous knowledge or training of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) practices would be beneficial, though PROACT-SCIPr training will be provided for successful candidates in addition to our full induction training.

A full UK driving licence is required for this role as responsibilities include taking customers out into the community for activities and appointments - the service has both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
