The Role
We are looking for people with an experience in Learning Disability support.
Provide person-centred support towards independence by providing a therapeutic, structured service consistent with individual preferences and abilities through facilitation of engagement in social interactions and community activities.
Our Support Worker will:
Have proven previous experience in working with people with Learning Disability and Mental health and various complex needs
Be reliable, friendly and caring to help our residents achieve their everyday goals (including personal care)
Be creative and responsive in daily support while adhering to person centred care plans and individual's goals
Be able to support in house and outside social activities and hobbies
Be attentive and inspire our people supported to achieve more
Be resilient and help manage some behaviours that challenge
Be a team player and good record keeper
Ability to carry out house-keeping and food preparation
About You
Proven experience in Health and Social Care sector
A person-centred approach and ability to work as a part of team
Ability to plan for yourself and others
Manage time effectively, prioritising workloads
Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English
IT literate and confident to use IT for record keeping
