Job Description

Complex Care Personal Assistant required to join a small team who support two young men living in a purpose built new bungalow. Our current requirement is for someone able to commit 1/2 nights a week and four days a month.

Both gentlemen have 2;1 staffing during the day allowing you the time to deliver quality person centred care . They have a waking night and a sleep in person at night. Staff generally work primarily with one gentlemen with occasional shifts with the other. Life is busy as they access a wide range of activities both with in the house and in the local community. The team are supported by therapists with regular physio,occupational therapy,hydrotherapy and speech and language therapy .

One gentleman enjoys creative writting , music - both making his own and going to gigs, has a competive streak when playing boccia, likes the outdoors . The other enjoys being read to,playing board games and loves numbers.

Both require requires support with all personal care and health needs including PEG feeds and moving and handling , in the use of assitive technology and in organising his busy schedule.

Confident use of computers and a

FULL UK driving licence

are essential requirements . A DBS check will be carried out. Previous experience is prefered however we provide comprehensive training . Shifts are variable and include weekends and sleep in and waking nights . We are unable to provide sponsorship .

We are currently piloting a new pay structure of 15ph weekdays with enhancements for weekends and waking nights . ( 16.75 weeknights)Sleep in nights 12.21 ph
