Make a real difference in someone's rehabilitation journey

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Support Worker/PA to assist a 53-year-old male client who is recovering from a road traffic accident and recent surgery. He is fully mobile and independent but experiences some fatigue, mild short-term memory issues, and occasional word-finding difficulties. He is a train enthusiast -- and maintains a busy routine of rehabilitation appointments.

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, patient, and supportive, with a genuine interest in helping people rebuild independence.

What You'll Do:

Build a trusting, professional relationship with the client and his family

Provide practical day-to-day support, including light household tasks and meal prep

Assist with completing prescribed rehabilitation exercises

Help organise daily/weekly schedules, rehabilitation appointments and activities

Accompany the client on outings, appointments, and short walks

Maintain clear records, note changes in presentation, and communicate with the wider therapy team

About You:

Compassionate, reliable, and confident working independently

Excellent communication skills

Able to recognise signs of fatigue, discomfort or distress

Comfortable following professional therapy guidance

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail

Full UK driving licence

Experience in rehabilitation, brain injury support or working with MDTs is desirable but not essential if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Hours:

Monday: 09:00-12:00 & 14:30-18:00

Tuesday: 09:00-12:00 & 14:30-18:00

Thursday: 14:30-18:00/19:00

Saturday: Alternate weeks - 5 hours

Total:

21.5-22.5 hours per week

These are the preferred hours, but some flexibility may be considered for the right candidate if you are unable to cover all listed times.
