Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable , caring and proactive support worker to assist a young man with Cerebral Palsy in his daily life who lives at home with his family. The role involves supporting him to live as independently as possible both at home and in the community.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing and dressing Continence care Peg feeding Administer medication as prescribed Assist with mobility and transportation needs Engage in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being Support non-verbal communication Perform light housekeeping duties as needed to maintain a safe and clean environment Following seizure and breathing management protocols
Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
Reliable and trustworthy with good communication skills Physically able to assist with moving and handling Previous experience in care is preferred but not essential, full training will be provided Must be able to use their own initiative and be proactive A full UK valid driving licence is preferred References and PVG check will be required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From 14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 per week
Work Location: In person
