Knowledge/experience of supporting clients with complex needs including, worklessness, individuals involved in crime or antisocial behaviour, addiction and recovery related issues is essential for this role
Principal duties and responsibilities
Outreach Support and External Agencies
Build and maintain good working relationships with external agencies to benefit the support needs of the residents (including referral, workshops, volunteer placements, move-on, education, training and employment opportunities).
Promote the Renova project in the community and raise awareness of the project.
Liaise with clients and contractors, considering budgets for contracts, coordinating refurbishments and renovations to ensure buildings function smoothly throughout the year
Social Media and Bid Writing
Facilities Management
Conduct weekly health and safety checks to ensure issues and defects are reported and resolved promptly, ensuring buildings meet Health & Safety and energy efficiency standards
Identify current/future maintenance issues and resolve them.
Manage contractors and suppliers per contract terms. Assist in managing contracts and ensure service levels are met.
Ensure all minor repairs and audit requirements are promptly addressed to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, team members, and visitors.
Monitor the residents and the house(s), undertaking regular house meetings ensuring effective communication to help resolve matters of common interest and that tenant damage to property is minimised and property is maintained to a high standard.
Personal Support and Empowerment
Residents support
Assess residents' needs, preparing individual support plans and updating support plans as necessary. Support plans to be approved by Management.
Hold a caseload of clients with complex needs - being available to provide support and to deal with queries. Providing mentoring to the clients.
Staff Management
Effectively oversee the day-to-day running of operations across all of the charity's properties.
Manage and support the staff and volunteers to deliver a quality focused and fully compliant service.
Person Specification
Housing, Health, Social Work, Counselling, Outreach or Keyworker Qualification volunteering or employment experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting clients
Full driving licence and use of a car is necessary
Willingness to work flexible hours in response to changing organisational requirements
Experience of working in a drug and alcohol service would be advantageous
Transferable skills: experience of working in a drug and alcohol service/probation service/adult social care/facilities management/supported housing/adult learning or learning disabilities
