Shifts: Flexible shift pattern working around school runs, weekly pay option available



Salary:



13.06/hour without Level 3/4 NVQ

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate

Support Workers

to join our Nottingham based supported living team. This role involves providing person-centred care and support to a specific individual whose needs are ,

A diagnosis of a mild- moderate Learning disability and physical health diagnoses of cerebral palsy, epilepsy (well managed), diabetes and oedemas in legs and feet. Client uses an electric wheelchair. Client requires full personal care.

Client also requires support with meals - basic support microwave meals, bought salad and breakfast cereal and monitoring when he eats due to risk of choking, support with medication and accessing the community. Suitable candidate will need to have a very good command of English to enable good communication with client.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:



The Role:

We are looking for compassionate and experienced Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will support people with learning disabilities in a supported living environment, helping to develop independence and achieve their personal goals. We support people with complex health and behavioural needs. Experience of PBS and or postural management is desirable.

Your duties will include:

Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. Supporting individuals in accessing community activities and services. Following support plans and promoting independence. Supporting people with healthcare interventions and positive behaviour support plans. Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with team members, families, and other professionals. Encouraging social interaction and helping people build relationships. Providing emotional support and companionship. Managing challenging behaviour and difficult situations.

What We're Looking For:



Previous experience working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. Experience of working in supported living A compassionate approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g. Level 2/3 diploma in care or equivalent) Flexibility to work shifts, including early, late, night, sleep ins, weekends, and public holidays. A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care.

Requirements
