MARBL Support is a new exciting, innovative support provider looking for likeminded people to provide the best possible support for young people looking to leave the care system. MARBL Support Ltd feels that more emphasis should be placed on helping young people to build the skills to be in a problem-solving mode that will allow them to best adapt to situations when living independent lives.

We believe in full open and honest communication with young people. And provide regular opportunities for individuals to voice their feelings on living with us and any general issues that may be going on in their lives. It is imperative that the young person is included in the decision-making process in all aspects of their daily lives. We want our placements to be the last with support, before obtaining their own tenancy as an adult.

Position Overview:



We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Supported Lodgings Workers to join our team at MARBL Support Ltd. As a Supported Lodgings Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing quality support to young people, ensuring their safety, dignity, and emotional well-being. The role focuses on helping young people build independence, resilience, and the skills required to transition successfully to adulthood, while also offering guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities:



Build positive, trusting relationships with young people to promote safety, stability and personal growth. Support young people to develop independence skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, time management and self-care. Provide guidance around education, employment, training, appointments and community engagement. Help young people understand their rights, responsibilities, tenancy expectations and house rules. Offer emotional support, encouragement and solution-focused guidance around daily challenges.

Person Specification:



Previous experience in a residential care or healthcare setting, particularly with children and young people, is preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic candidates willing to learn.

A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
