Job Description

The role




We are seeking a skilled and proactive Surveyor / Senior Surveyor (dependent on experience) to support and advise on all aspects of landlord and tenant matters. This role focuses on managing lease events, conducting rent reviews and lease renewals across the core commercial sectors in the North of England. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of commercial property, excellent negotiation skills, and a client focused approach to delivering value and strategic advice.

Responsibilities



Undertake rent reviews, lease renewals and lease re-gears on behalf of both landlords and tenants Act as an expert witness to arbitrators, independent experts and court Negotiate and communicate tactfully Manage client relationships at all levels on a day to day basis Provide strategic advice to clients Conduct inspections and take accurate measurements Review leases and extract the appropriate information Deliver valuation input for lease events Prepare clear reports with recommendations on lease events and negotiating strategy Build relationships and collaborate with colleagues within the company Secure new clients and identify cross selling opportunities where possible

Requirements



MRICS qualified Driving licence Experience in rent review and lease renewal negotiations Thorough knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation Good verbal and written communication skills Good attention to details and work in an organised and timely manner
