What this job involves:



The JLL Lease Advisory team is a market leading, UK wide business of professionals providing advice to all sectors of commercial property including Retail, Offices and Industrial & Logistics sectors.



Working specifically within the City Lease Advisory team, in conjunction with the City agency team, you will be joining a well-established and well respected team of professionals, who pride themselves on service to clients. We continue to pursue growth of our Lease Advisory Business, both in terms of new sub-sectors and wider market share.



You would be joining an existing team of c. 30 Surveyors based across all JLL's principal network of UK offices and have the opportunity to be part of influencing the team's future growth strategy.



This role offers the opportunity for career progression within a dynamic, market leading team.



The primary aspect of the role includes all aspects of Lease advisory activity including lease structuring & regears, and portfolio strategy as well as the more standard rent reviews and lease renewals.



What your day-to-day will look like:



Inspecting and measuring client premises



Reporting to clients



Compiling comparable evidence



Assessing accurate rental values



Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, break deferment/removal



Recommending settlements



Strategic lease advice



Preparation of Expert Witness reports



Liaising with colleagues in other business lines including Capital Markets, Agency and Rating



Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:



Commercial - provide clients with best solutions and have the ability to identify opportunities beyond the immediate client brief



Ability to manage timelines and work under pressure to tight deadlines



Engage, support and deal with multiple instructions



Ability to communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels



Strong written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy



Strong negotiation and quantitative skills, including analysis and interpretation of large data sets



Required Skills and Experience:



Good working knowledge of the Central London, and in particular the City, office sector would be preferable but not essential



Preferably 2+ years PQE experience of rent review and lease renewal negotiations



Enthusiastic, self-driven and collaborative



Agile, trustworthy, courageous, innovative
