The Role:



We are looking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Surveyor with additional site management support responsibilities. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who has strong technical and measurement skills, and who is confident assisting with on-site delivery and coordination when required.

The successful candidate will join our Operations Department, supporting the delivery of social housing and maintenance projects. You will gather and organise project information to assist our Commercial Team in preparing cost estimates and valuations, while also working closely with our Site Management Team to support progress tracking, health and safety compliance and subcontractor coordination on site.

This role offers clear pathways to progression into full Site Management or Senior Surveyor positions, supported by ongoing training and mentorship.

A DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities:



Surveying Duties:

Conduct site surveys, measurements and valuations. Support with the preparation of progress reports and project documentation. Monitor work completed against specifications, and ensure compliance with quality standards. Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers regarding scope, variations and materials.
Site Management Support Duties:

Assist in overseeing daily operations on site. Ensure materials and equipment are delivered and used effectively. Conduct health and safety inspections and ensure compliance with site protocols. Maintain accurate site records and contribute to daily reporting. Help coordinate trades on site to maintain productivity and programme delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:



SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - Essential First Aid at Work - Desirable Asbestos Awareness or Duty to Manage - Desirable Previous experience working on social housing projects Strong understanding of building regulations and construction methods

Attributes/Skills:



Strong surveying knowledge with a practical understanding of construction sites Excellent time management and organisational skills Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills IT proficient, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Professional, customer-focused approach Able to work both independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company
