Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

Assist the Technical Manager in establishing the building blocks and maintaining a Carbon Management Strategy.

Establishing and maintaining the monitoring system which Meters, Monitors and Targets areas within the business with a focus of improving the effective use of consumed energy.

Completing site surveys on current work practices and equipment utilisation.

Evaluating and reporting on the effective use of the on-site generated renewable energy.

Working with different departments within the company to monitor the carbon footprint of their activities. E.g. How waste is handled, how raw materials are purchased -the carbon footprint associated with the raw material coming into the business, Inclusion of a carbon footprint section when evaluating Suppliers.

Working with different departments in matters relating to Health and Safety standards. Assist in carrying out internal health and safety audits and following through on corrective actions.

Ensuring that all employees are aware of and follow health and safety regulations.

Identifying potential hazards in the workplace and developing strategies to mitigate them

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - having a solid understanding of the program including data manipulation, analysis, and reporting
