Join Our Bank Staff - Baby & Learn to Swim Teachers (Freelance/Cover)

Swim Central Preston has exciting opportunities for enthusiastic, creative, and motivated

freelance swimming teachers

to join our

bank staff team

, covering Baby and Learn to Swim classes as needed.

As part of our bank (cover) team, you'll step in to deliver high-quality swim lessons during staff absences, busy periods, or holidays - playing an essential role in our swimming programme.

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver fun and engaging

Baby & Toddler

classes focused on water confidence and early development Teach

Learn to Swim

classes to children of varying ages and abilities Follow structured lesson plans aligned with Swim Central's programme Ensure a safe, supportive, and positive environment for all swimmers and their families Provide clear, encouraging feedback to help learners grow Maintain attendance and progress records as required

What We're Looking For:

Friendly, reliable, and flexible team players Excellent communication skills with both children and parents A passion for water safety, early childhood development, and learning progression Ability to adapt lessons for individual needs and abilities

Essential Qualifications (any of the following):

Swim England Level 2 (Teaching Swimming) STA Level 2 Award or Certificate in Teaching Swimming STA Level 2 Baby and Pre-School

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) Up-to-date Safeguarding and First Aid training (or willingness to update) Ability to commute reliably to Swim Central Preston Freelance status (self-employed)

Pay: 17.00 per hour
