In your role as a Systems Analyst, you will undergo a technical induction to get immersed in our cloud SaaS application, our technical architecture and our customers' core business drivers. You will lead the translation of feature requests prioritised by our Head of Product into detailed, playable user stories for execution.

As a growing Company, there are constantly shifting needs, so there are opportunities to develop from this role into broader technical or client-facing roles.

What your day may look like

The role of the Systems Analyst will be focused on three core areas:

Systems Analysis

Taking a product-centric approach and taking into consideration the systems perspective, conduct a deep analysis of requirements, captured from the client-facing and product teams, to inform user story creation Own and drive the capture of clearly articulated, deliverable and testable Jira user stories and acceptance criteria that satisfy client and product expectations backed by detailed Confluence documentation that could include state-flows, data mapping and considerations of exceptions and edge cases Contribute as a peer of the engineering team, partnering with full-stack engineers, DevOps engineers,QA automation engineers and manual testers to co-create clear, deliverable and testable user stories that meet or exceed client and product owner expectations Work with our CEO, Chief Product Officer and Product Manager to understand product direction If required to better understand specific client use cases, attend client meetings and workshops demonstrating knowledge of the application and supporting the development of a single-code line, productised solution Probe, understand, clarify and, using appropriate soft skills, challenge stakeholders' thinking and needs Work with our CTO, AI/ML Lead and Solutions Architect to support product taxonomy definition and the selection and implementation of AI/ML tools and techniques for data ingestion, analysis, ranking and approval Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement and end-of-sprint retrospectives

Agile Delivery

Ensure user stories are independent, valuable and deliverable to enable an efficient flow of work through the end-to-end product engineering process Ensure user stories are refined within the timelines and cut-offs defined in the product engineering process and according to the defined criteria of DoR (Definition of Ready) Champion and support the ongoing maturing and increasing automation of our technology delivery, removing friction from our end-to-end product engineering processes while maintaining governance processes as required by the largest FS Institutions

What it takes to be successful

Systems Analyst experience within a scrum/kanban-based product delivery team essential Competent and confident in reading and understanding technical architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, conceptual and logical data architecture and data flows typical of a browser-based SaaS application Proven commercial experience in an extremely fast-moving scrum/kanban (ideally startup) environment Experience of building relationships and trust with stakeholders such as clients, client-facing teams and engineering teams Exceptional communication and influencing skills Experience of SaaS, web-based, cloud solutions Experience with data-based and AI/ML tools and techniques beneficial but not essential Experience in Financial Services in particular, an understanding of financial product lifecycles an advantage but not essential
