Job Description

Brightwell is the primary service provider providing fiduciary management services, member services, operational and secretariat services to the BT Pension Scheme (BTPS) and the complete pensions administration service to the Mineworkers Pensions Scheme (MPS) - two of the largest defined benefit pension schemes in the UK. Brightwell also provides fiduciary management services to the defined benefit section of the EE Pension Scheme (EEPS).

Reporting to the Senior System Development Manager, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Systems Developer that will work on aspects of the configuration and running of the IntelliPen Pensions Administration software platform(s) within Member Services. A key part of this role will be working with Procentia and the Member Services support team to maintain and improve the use of IntelliPen.

Main tasks & responsibilities:



Support AST and Member Services in the design and development of aspects of IntelliPen, including workflows, reporting, document production and member portal to enable: Management of day to day incidents Working in partnership with internal project and change teams, and external contractors to deliver system improvements and improved member experience Work with the QA Lead to agree appropriate test plans for development work Work with the AST Service & Support Manager and Senior Systems Development Manager to provide clear forward looking plans on delivery of development work and sprint planning. Work with AST to produce regular reporting and compliance with our AAF standards Coach and provide technical guidance to others within AST in order to build the Member Services internal systems development capability

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:



Strong information technology experience specific to defined benefit pension schemes Ability to adapt to complex programs and updating technology Strong diagnostic, analytical and process skills Ability to work under pressure Disciplined approach to working with technology including testing Experience of all aspects of the IntelliPen platform - including calculations, workflows, reporting, payroll & finance, document production and Intellisite Knowledge of SQL and MS Office A positive and professional attitude Strong interpersonal skills Strong communication skills The ability to work to deadlines and manage workload appropriately as part of a team A track record of working in Pensions and Technology

Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience



Experience of BI & MI reporting software such as Power BI Knowledge of DC pension schemes and AVCs Understanding of internal controls such as AAFs
