Welcome to Bridies Rossdowney! We are a busy Fish and Chip shop located in the Waterside area of Derry/Londonderry. We are now taking applications for one or two experienced and driven Takeaway Assistants to join our large and expanding team.

Experience working with food in a busy environment is a requirement. Full training on our system will be provided. A Level 2 Food Safety certificate is a requirement to work on the premises. If successful applicants do not have this qualification we will put you through Food Safety Training.

Job responsibilities include:

-Setting up shop for the day and prepping for a busy daytime & evening service.

-Answering phones, taking in orders and working the till.

-Cooking and serving food for in-store and delivery customers.

-Fulfilling daily & weekly cleaning duties to the highest standard.

-Carrying out a full clean down of service areas and equipment at the end of every shift, and ensuring the shop is left in a clean and organized matter when closing up.

This is a high demanding job in a fast paced environment. Hours are rotated weekly but you must be available for both weekdays and/or a Weekend shift.

This job post is for a mixture of daytime and evening work.

The hours are flexible so everything from 12-40 hours are available depending on what the applicant requires. Perfect for someone already working in the industry looking for change of scenery, or even for an experienced cook looking for a shift on top of a restricted daily routine.
