The Role
As a Talent Assistant at kinderzimmer UK, you will play a key role in attracting, hiring, and onboarding exceptional talent to support the growth and success of our nursery group. You will contribute to effective talent acquisition and workforce planning, help foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and ensure a first-class candidate and employee experience.
Duties and responsibilities
Talent Attraction
Collaborate with Nursery Management teams to understand staffing needs and workforce planning requirements.
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
Write detailed job descriptions and engaging job advertisements to reach a diverse pool of applicants.
Conduct pre-screening calls, interviews, and manage the end-to-end hiring process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Maintain and update the HR Information System (HRIS).
Utilise job boards, social media, and professional networks to maximise reach.
Represent kinderzimmer UK at university, college, and job fairs.
Build and maintain partnerships with academic institutions to engage future talent.
Coordinate apprenticeship programmes.
Champion diversity and inclusion across all recruitment activities.
Onboarding & Compliance
Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth and positive start.
Manage pre-employment checks (references, right-to-work, DBS, and other background checks) through Zincwork.
Ensure all recruitment and onboarding processes meet safer recruitment standards.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records within the HRIS.

Who we are looking for
Essential
At least 2 years' recent experience in internal recruitment or agency recruitment.
A passionate self-starter, able to work independently and meet targets.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects across different sites.
Excellent communication skills and a drive to deliver an outstanding candidate experience.
Enthusiasm for working in a fast-growing, ambitious organisation.
Flexibility, including occasional out-of-hours calls with candidates.
Desirable
Undergraduate degree.
CIPD Level 3 qualification in People Practice or above.
Experience in Early Years, Education recruitment or similar fields.
Previous HR experience.
Understanding of safer recruitment practices.
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
