Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery. Train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Innovate menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Skills

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent cooking skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation. Previous experience in supervising kitchen staff is highly desirable. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the capability to multitask effectively. A background in culinary arts or relevant qualifications is an advantage. Pay: 12.21-18.84 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 44 per week
