We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoor Chef who have minimum 2 Years experience in Indian Vegetarian Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian Vegetarian Restaurant, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes while leading a team of kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to inspire and manage your team will be crucial in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
Manage food production processes, including inventory control, portioning, and plating.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and menu items.
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
Maintain a positive working environment that fosters teamwork and communication among staff.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef in Indian Vegetarian Restaurant or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential if experience is demonstrated.
