Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will specialize in preparing authentic North Indian dishes, with expertise in tandoor cooking techniques such as naan, roti, kebabs, tikkas, and curries. The role requires creativity, consistency, and efficiency while maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious dishes, leading the kitchen staff, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional hospitality to guests. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices. Develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. Excellent team management skills with the ability to inspire and lead others. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and practices. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Culinary experience with creativity in menu development is an asset. Strong leadership abilities to effectively coordinate kitchen operations.
