About Us

We are a well-established firm of chartered accountants with offices across four locations, providing high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to a broad range of clients. We work with a number of Chinese-speaking clients, so the ability to communicate in Mandarin would be an advantage.

The Role

We're looking for a motivated Tax Junior to join our friendly and supportive tax team. You'll be involved in preparing a variety of tax returns, liaising with HMRC, and carrying out research on technical tax issues. You'll also have the opportunity to study towards professional qualifications in UK tax law, working towards both ATT (compliance) and CTA (advisory) designations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare Personal, Partnership, CGT on UK Property, ATED, and Trust/Estate tax returns for review Prepare P11D forms for review Conduct initial research on technical tax queries Manage HMRC client lists and agent authorisations Review and draft responses to client and HMRC correspondence Maintain and update tax compliance progress reports Undertake structured training and exams in UK tax law (ATT and CTA)

About You:

Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Eager to learn and develop professionally Mandarin language skills desirable but not essential

Additional Information:

This role is based in our Pitstone office, so reliable transport is essential. Standard hours are 37.5 per week, with occasional overtime during busy tax periods or to meet client deadlines.
