As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and well-organised vehicle. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to navigate various routes in a timely manner.

Duties

Safely drive passengers to their destinations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the taxi, ensuring it is presentable for passengers. Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance and information as needed. Handle heavy lifting of luggage or other items for passengers when required. Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage and passenger details. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Manage payment transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate fare calculations. Assist with any necessary paperwork related to vehicle maintenance or passenger feedback.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is advantageous. Strong ability to maintain a high standard of customer service at all times. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with passengers. Familiarity with local roads and routes is essential for efficient navigation. Capability to handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with their belongings. A valid driving licence appropriate for operating a taxi vehicle is required. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
