The Oken Tea Rooms is a family run business located in one of Warwick's most historic buidings, located just outside the walls of Warwick Castle.
Serving locals and tourists alike, we are known for our fabulous Cream Teas and Afternoons Teas, as well as our wonderful selection of loose leaf teas and locally roasted coffee, along with our brilliant customer service.
We are now looking for a second Assistant Manger to join our friendly team.
The ideal candidate will be Barista trained and possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food preparation and service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a team in delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation, supervising staff, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests.
Responsibilities
(but not limited to):
Assisting with the day to day running of the tea room, with the ability to take charge when necessary
Manage team members, including scheduling, training, and motivating staff to deliver excellent service
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the premises
Assist with food production, including preparing teas, light snacks, and baked goods as required
Working with the kitchen to ensure stock levels and ordering from suppliers when necessary
Responding to bookings and other email enquiries
Creating regular social media posts
Cashing up and till reconciliation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 13.50-14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
