The Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Business Education to join our highly successful and dynamic Business Education Department from November 2025.
Due to the short nature of the contract candidates should be able to commence following successful pre-employment checks and as such must be registered with the GTCS.
The Business Education Department comprises 6 teachers, delivering Accounting, Business Management and Economics. All members of the department are very experienced practitioners, making this an extremely attractive opportunity for any practitioners who are looking to enhance and expand their teaching proficiency in any of these subjects whilst being in an extremely supportive and positive teaching environment.
All pupils in S2 study a general Business Education course. From S3-S6 the department delivers N5 through to AH courses. Results are consistently excellent in all three subjects.
In Business Education we aim to deliver lessons that are stimulating and thought-provoking learning experiences. We seek to deploy a variety of methods within lessons to cater for different ways of learning and thinking which result in high levels of engagement and enjoyment within lessons.
In addition to curricular responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to participate fully in the extra-curricular life of the School.
