We are looking for an experienced Primary or Secondary Teacher to join our fantastic team and provided bespoke learning opportunities for our young people in our therapeutic education settings.

We are a specialist Independent School based in Shropshire, providing education for up to 45 pupils aged 11-18, who are at risk or have experienced sexual exploitation.

The school delivers individualised educational provision to students who require high levels of understanding, consistency and continuity through an integrated therapeutic approach. We also deliver education in two local alternative provisions were some of our pupils reside and receive therapeutic care.

What we are looking for:

A teacher who will be responsible for the delivery of education for pupils who are residents in our therapeutic care settings. These young people may not have accessed education for a while and therefore may need catch-up lessons in literacy and numeracy, or they may be high functioning and need creative and challenging lessons across a range of subjects. Therefore we need a teacher who is enthusiastic, loves teaching, and can work well with colleagues to assess and deliver what the pupils need, but more importantly learning needs to be fun!

The Requirements

DET (DTLLS) & QTLS (or willingness to achieve)

OR Degree, PGCE Secondary or Primary & QTS

ORTeaching Degree & QTS. Recent and relevant experience as an effective Teacher at various levels E.g. functional skills, GCSE, Entry level, Phonics, Literacy, numeracy etc. A Level (A - C) or nationally recognized Level 3 qualifications.
Experience of working with secondary students with SEN, SEMH and other needs is desirable. Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes Eligible to work in the UK Full driving licence Full enhance DBS check
Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Any unspent conviction/cautions should be declared at the point of application. Any adult cautions (simple or conditional) or spent convictions that are not protected as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 should also be declared.
