Full Time: 35 hours per week



The School of Economics is seeking to recruit a full time, fixed term Teaching Administrator.



The Opportunity:





The University of Edinburgh's School of Economics is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate as a Teaching Administrator to the school. The successful candidate will show a high degree of cultural sensitivity and have a strong track record in customer service delivery. They will take the lead in day-to-day administration for a cross-section of Undergraduate & Postgraduate level courses. The ideal candidate will handle complex information accurately and provide proactive and comprehensive guidance relating to administrative procedures and policies.



We are recruiting to an ideal start of around September - October 2025.


The role shall be based within 30 Buccleuch Place (Central Campus) with opportunities for discussion on informal hybrid workplace arrangements available at the time of offer.



Key Skills and Experience



Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office particularly Excel as the role entails significant use of complex spreadsheets. An Excel test will be given at interview. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail in both written and figure work. Ability to plan and prioritise, work independently and also as part of a team Strong organisational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
