We are looking for caring, proactive, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our founding team and support our students in vocational subjects such as Hair and Beauty, Construction, Mechanics, and Health and Social Care.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering engaging, hands-on lessons, helping young people aged 11-16 to access vocational and functional skills learning. Many of our students have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, so you'll play a vital role in building trust, boosting confidence, and promoting positive behaviour.
You'll work closely with staff to provide personalised support, adapting your approach to meet individual needs and helping to create a calm, inclusive and aspirational learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide classroom support to vocational teachers across a range of subjects
Offer one-to-one and small group support to students
Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
Assist with preparing learning materials and resources
Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Support the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour plans
Help students develop independence, confidence, and life skills

What We're Looking For
A positive, empathetic attitude and a genuine interest in working with young people
Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (desirable)
Flexibility and creativity in supporting different learning styles
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable
