Responsibilities



Work closely with class teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning across the classroom. Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their best. Assist in the preparation of resources and activities that engage and motivate pupils. Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development, encouraging positive interactions and a respectful learning environment. Help create an inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and supported. Contribute to the assessment and tracking of pupils' progress by providing feedback to teachers. Supervise pupils during playtimes, lunchtimes, or trips, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support children's learning and development. Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and friendly school team.

Experience



Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (desirable). A caring, patient, and positive approach to supporting children's learning and wellbeing. Good communication and teamwork skills. An understanding of safeguarding and the importance of promoting a safe learning environment. A flexible and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop professionally. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) are desirable but not essential for the right candidate.

Pay: 19,500.00-20,000.00 per year
