Overview





We are looking to appoint a two experienced Teaching Assistants who have the desire to promote a love of learning and the belief that every child will succeed. This support work will be a blend of supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and supporting small groups of children, both in and out of the classroom or on the playground at break and lunch time, alongside supporting members of the teaching staff. We are fortunate to have wonderful, respectful pupils who are willing to learn in our well-resourced school and our beautiful spacious school site as well as a hugely supportive staff team. We would like our successful candidates to be post from after October half term.



The first post we are looking to fill is for:

25 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks) working Monday to Friday inclusive.

The second post is for:

20 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks) working Tuesday to Friday inclusive

About the role





Our new Teaching Assistants will be based in one year group but will also be timetabled to work across different classes and different year groups in the school.



The core duties of this role, whilst working within established guidelines to support the teacher are:

Supporting pupils with an Educational Health Care Plan Ensuring all pupils are safe and safeguarding procedures are followed Supporting the teaching and learning of the planned curriculum. Effective use of resources Supporting learning in the classroom either in small groups or on a 1:1 basis and leading intervention groups Providing supervision at break and lunch time either on the playground or in the dining room. Maintaining a welcoming classroom environment, encouraging pupils to work independently Meeting regularly with class teacher to plan work and raise/ resolve concerns. Closely monitor and track pupils progress in line with school procedure Undertake any tasks as directed by the Deputy Head Teacher/ SENDCo or Head Teacher which fall within the limits of the post. Can use technology (such as computers and iPads) to support with admin tasks, undertake online training and enhance learning.
