About the role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will help create a supportive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child feels safe and valued. Working alongside teachers and support staff, you'll assist pupils in accessing the curriculum, building confidence and developing independence. This includes one-to-one support, small group work and adapting activities to suit a range of learning needs. You'll play a key role in promoting pupil well-being and contributing to both academic and personal development.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a caring, adaptable and enthusiastic individual with a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or similar) and experience working in a primary school setting. You should have supported pupils with SEND, EAL and other additional needs, and be confident leading small groups or one-to-one sessions. A good understanding of child development, positive behaviour strategies and classroom routines is essential. First aid skills and the ability to inspire and engage all learners are highly valued.
