Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
Work with class teachers to design and adapt engaging and inclusive lessons.
Help pupils develop emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction skills.
Contribute to creating a safe, calm, and welcoming classroom environment.
Support with personal care tasks when needed, maintaining respect and dignity.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure each child receives well-rounded support.
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children in a primary school setting, ideally in a role such as Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, or Learning Support Assistant.
A good understanding of SEND, particularly relating to Autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children.
Qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning are desirable but not essential.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
