The Role

We are urgently recruiting a committed, nurturing, and proactive Teaching Assistant to work as a

General TA within a Reception class

in one of our partner primary schools in Ellesmere Port.

This is a

long term, permanent role with the company

, not a day to day supply position (We are not a agency or supply company). Consistency is key, and we are looking for someone who can become a valued part of the class team and wider school community.

You will support the class teacher and pupils throughout the school day, helping to create a positive, engaging, and well structured learning environment where all children can thrive.

Salary and Contract Information

Permanent, term time only role paid on an annualised salary
Salary for this academic year is based on the remaining weeks of the academic year and spread evenly across the months to ensure stable monthly pay
From September 2026, this role moves onto a full annual salary covering the full academic year plus paid school holidays

Essential Qualities

Experience working with children in EYFS or KS1 preferred
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Confidence supporting learning, play based activities, and routines
Positive, resilient, and child focused attitude
Strong communication skills with staff, parents, and professionals
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Commitment to a long term role within the school

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Support

Support the class teacher with whole class and small group activities
Assist with phonics, early reading, writing, and number work
Support children during carpet time, play based learning, and continuous provision
Help children develop independence, confidence, and social skills
Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Support for Teaching Staff

Prepare and adapt classroom resources as required
Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil engagement and progress
Follow EYFS framework and school policies
Work collaboratively with teachers, TAs, and support staff

Support for the School

Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Support transitions, routines, and daily organisation
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies
