Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language challenges, on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Work closely with class teachers to deliver and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
Support children's development of emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction skills.
Foster a calm, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
Assist with personal care where needed, always maintaining dignity and respect.
Liaise with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a primary school setting, ideally in a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, or Learning Support Assistant role.
Strong understanding of SEND, particularly in supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, and communication needs.
Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and the initiative to support pupils in a child-centred way.
Qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning are desirable but not essential.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
