The Trustees are looking to recruit to the post of Teaching Assistant Level 4 Deliverer Outdoor Education

Commencing September 2025


36 hours 40 minutes, Term Time plus 5 days (195)


NJC SCP 23-25: 33,366 35,235 per annum (full time/full year)


Actual Salary range pro rata: 28,536 - 30,135 per annum


SEN Allowance - 1,491 per annum



Hollinwood Academy provides a broad and balanced curriculum that enables children and young people from reception to Key Stage 4 to access creative learning opportunities tailored to meet their individual needs. The school is part of the New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust, a vibrant, aspirational and inclusive multi-academy trust of eight special schools and two specialist post-16 provisions across Oldham, Tameside and Rochdale. As part of the wider New Bridge Group there are also two post-19 provisions. All the children and young people have an EHCP with the Trust supporting a wide spectrum of needs from age 4-19 and beyond. We invite applications from experienced and motivated Level 4 Teaching Assistant Deliverers to join our dynamic, growing and committed staff team. The successful candidate will have:


Experience of teaching outdoor education, physical education and/or other national curriculum subjects. Previous experience of leading, planning and delivering learning activities. Specific experience/interest in working with pupils with SEND. High expectations of pupils, and a commitment to raising standards of attainment to ensure that they can achieve their full educational potential. Experience of developing options and alternatives that will support pupils to engage in the learning process. Experience of enhancement of pupil progress and raising attainment and achievement in all pupils. Experience of current assessment practice and the use of data and pupil progress tracking to ensure that all groups of learners achieve. Experience of managing challenging behaviour. The emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with challenging young people with a range of complex needs. The ability to foster positive relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community. The willingness to be a team player who can work effectively with all members of the school team. Be hardworking, organised and proactive in their own professional development.
