About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated and has a passion for supporting teaching and learning by establishing supportive relationships with students, helping to raise their self-esteem and develop a positive attitude to learning within a secondary Academy. You will relish the opportunity to work with young people in a vibrant and dynamic learning environment.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and able to use their own initiative, to support students in the classroom to ensure that they are making progress academically, socially, and emotionally. Previous experience in a relatable role within an educational establishment is desirable but not essential. This role requires a grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths.

We welcome applications from ambitious candidates, keen to make a difference who have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student.

If you want to inspire, aspire, and achieve, come, and join something special and make your mark.

We aim to provide our young people with the qualifications, skills, and attributes to have a successful and happy life.

In return, you can expect fantastic professional development opportunities, a comprehensive employee benefits package, shopping discounts, cycle-to-work and gym schemes, cinema tickets and an employee assistance programme.

We are proud to be a part of the Academy Transformation Trust family of academies whose mission is to transform learning, aspirations and opportunities for their pupils and the communities in which they live. This commitment also extends to staff who are key to their success.

Closing date: 9.00am on Friday, 25th July 2025 (or sooner should we receive sufficient applicants).

Every child deserves an excellent education and to go to a school that understands them, allows them to thrive and be happy, and helps them to achieve academic success whatever their ability or circumstances. I firmly believe that this is achieved through inspiring teaching, a safe and caring environment, expert advice and guidance, and a wide range of high quality enrichment opportunities. Our aim is for all students to develop their knowledge, talents and values so that they can be successful and make a positive contribution to their community.

The academy vision is 'working together, supporting individuals'. Fundamental to the success of all students is a strong, supportive partnership between the home and the academy. It is vital that communication is clear and regular, that parents/carers remain closely involved in their child's education and that the academy shares information about their progress in a timely manner.

Mildenhall College Academy is part of the Academy Transformation Trust family. We aim to provide opportunities for all our students to succeed, ensuring that each child fulfils their potential. In one form or another, our academy has served the local community for over 40 years and this is an exciting time to be joining us. We are a 'Good' school (Ofsted, May 2024) and inspectors recognised the excellent work that our academy team is doing to provide students with the first class education they deserve.
