Job Description

Join our dedicated team supporting pupils aged 11-16 who face social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Many students will have experienced trauma, anxiety, ADHD, or difficulties regulating emotions, and may have previously struggled in mainstream settings. You will help rebuild their trust in education, working within a structured, nurturing environment aimed at re-engaging learners and facilitating positive progress.

1:1 and small-group support:

Implement IEPs, behaviour plans, and trauma-informed strategies.

Behaviour support:

Use de-escalation techniques and consistent boundary setting to promote emotional regulation

Emotional development:

Help build resilience, social skills, and self-esteem through a therapeutic and flexible curriculum.

Integrated teamwork:

Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, mentors, parents, and external professionals to ensure joined-up care.

Monitoring & reporting:

Keep detailed records of student engagement, progress, and incidents.
Skills & Experience:

Essential:



Experience supporting children with SEMH or special educational needs. Calm under pressure, consistent, patient, and empathetic. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and right to work in the UK

Desirable:



Qualifications or training in behaviour management (e.g., Team?Teach) and trauma-informed practice Background in youth work, mental health support, or parenting roles.

Pay: 88.94-95.00 per day
