Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and communication needs.
Assist teachers in planning and delivering inclusive lessons that meet varied learning needs.
Promote emotional regulation, communication, and social skills in a positive, child-focused way.
Help maintain a calm, welcoming classroom atmosphere where all pupils feel safe and supported.
Provide personal care when required, upholding dignity and respect at all times.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to ensure holistic pupil support.
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children in a primary school setting, ideally in roles such as Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, or Learning Support Assistant.
A strong understanding of SEND and confidence working with children with Autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a proactive, child-centred approach.
Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).
An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
