SEND Learning Support Assistant - Early Years and Primary

Ours is a three-times Ofsted Outstanding and Nursery World award-winning, forward-thinking special school for children and young people aged 2 to 19. We specialise in supporting learners with complex needs and disabilities across two sites: Lower School (Early Years and Primary) and Upper School (Secondary and Post-16).
We are currently looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic
Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
to work with our
Early Years and Primary-aged pupils (ages 2-11)
. This role is vital in supporting pupils' learning, development, and well-being in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support children aged 2-11 with a range of complex needs in classroom and play-based settings
Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised support
Engage pupils through play, sensory activities, and structured routines
Encourage communication, independence, and personal development
Assist with personal care and physical needs when required
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
What We Are Looking For:
A caring and playful approach to working with children
A calm, patient, and sensitive attitude
The ability to multitask and stay organised in a busy school environment
A strong willingness to learn and take part in ongoing training and development
Resilience and flexibility when managing challenging behaviour or physical tasks
A relevant childcare qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 in Childcare (or equivalent)
