Join our dedicated team at a vibrant SEN school in Southampton, where your support will help pupils aged 4-11 with complex learning difficulties, including autism, speech and language disorders, and challenging behaviours, to thrive academically and personally .
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils, facilitating their engagement with the curriculum. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
GCSEs at grade C or above in English and Maths, or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths.Experience:
Prior experience working with children in educational settings, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.Skills:
Compassionate, enthusiastic, reliable, and resilient individuals who can build positive relationships with young people and act as positive role models.Desirable:
Experience with communication aids and strategies, such as PECS and Makaton.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 88.94-95.00 per day
