Job Description

We're working with a primary school in Stockton-on-Tees to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis (mornings only) in Key Stage 1, starting in September 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experience Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term position to work in a friendly and nurturing setting alongside a dedicated classroom teacher.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with year 1 and 2 children and will be comfortable providing additional support and interventions to support the delivery of core subjects.

Requirements

Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:

- Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or be able to evidence they are working towards this).

- Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.

- Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.

- Be comfortable supporting the class teacher to deliver a range of lessons.

- Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.

- Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
