Job Description

South Hylton Primary Academy, part of Laidlaw Schools Trust, are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to work within our mainstream primary school.

We are a smaller than average primary school with a 'village' ethos catering for children aged 2-11 years. Our children are very motivated and have an extremely positive attitude to learning.

As a Teaching Assistant you will support the inclusion of all pupils in school life through assisting teachers as part of a professional team; contributing to raising standards of pupils' achievement and undertaking a range of teaching and learning activities under the professional direction of a qualified teacher.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with Level 3 qualification and experience in primary schools with secure knowledge of phonics / EYFS framework.

This is a term time position 25,584 FTE Actual 22,074
