Contract Type:
Full-time (27.5 - 33 hours a week)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people who need support beyond mainstream education? We're opening a brand-new independent school in Todmorden for children aged 10 to 18 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs--and we're looking for dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Teaching Assistants to join our founding team.

Roles Available
We are recruiting for:
General Teaching Assistants (Level 2 and 3)
Specialist SEMH Teaching Assistants
Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA)
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals with experience in:
Supporting children and young people with SEMH needs
Working in alternative provision or specialist settings
Delivering interventions and supporting learning across a range of subjects
Building trusting relationships and promoting positive behaviour
Minimum Requirements
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
Experience working with children or young people, especially those with additional needs
A clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
Recommended Qualification
Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
(Level 2 TAs)
Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning
(Level 3 TAs)
HLTA Status (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)
- for those taking on more responsibility, including leading lessons under supervision
