We are a specialist Independent School based in Shropshire, providing education for up to 45 pupils aged 11-18, who are at risk or have experienced sexual exploitation.

The Role:
This role will involve supporting our young people with excellent communication, consistency and flexibility in equal measure, a non-judgemental approach and lots of positive attention. This is working in classes of 1-4 pupils. You will need to be patient, resilient, solutions focused and flexible in your approach. Experience of supporting young people in a school is beneficial, but not essential. You will also benefit from experiencing a wide ranging of activities with the young people, as well as knowing you are making a difference!
The Requirements
Good standard of general education with at least GCSE grade 5/C (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English
Experience working with young people (Desirable)* Level 2 Award (or higher) in Supporting Teaching & Learning in School, or equivalent professional qualification (Desirable)* Nationally recognised training in related fields of knowledge e.g. specific subjects, teaching & learning pedagogy, or SEN. (Desirable)* A full driving licence - Requirement to drive company vehicles.

Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Any unspent conviction/cautions should be declared at the point of application.
