Bransty Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced
NVQ Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant
to join our passionate and highly motivated team. This is a permanent, part-time post for 30 hours per week, term-time only, starting in September 2025.
We are looking for a flexible and dedicated individual, preferably with experience in Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, and a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils. The role will include:
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEND, including those with ASC, physical/medical difficulties, or severe learning difficulties
Supporting teachers across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
Delivering high-quality general classroom support
Working under the direction of class teachers as well as independently
Having a secure understanding of the primary curriculum
Using knowledge of systematic synthetic phonics; Read Write Inc. training is desirable
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a
Level 3 NVQ qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
Has relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Has strong literacy and numeracy skills
Has a sound knowledge of SEN and a passion for inclusive education
Is proactive, resourceful and confident in managing learning tasks and classroom routines
Is patient, dynamic, and committed to helping every child thrive
Can use initiative and work effectively as part of a team
Is willing to undertake further SEND training to meet the needs of our pupils
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Experience working with children who have:
Hearing impairments
Physical or medical needs
Autism spectrum conditions
