We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) responsibilities to join our happy and committed team at Broadwater CE Primary School. Teaching Assistant Salary

: Grade 3 Point 3 (24,796.00 FTE), pro rata, term time only (17,640.09)

HLTA Responsibility Time

: Payable at Grade 8 (17.15 - 18.80 per hour depending on experience)

Contract Type:

Permanent


Working Pattern:

Full time, 31.25 hours per week

What You Need to Succeed


Role Overview



The successful candidate will support pupils across the school, assist class teachers with a range of duties, lead small group work and interventions, and cover teacher absences in an HLTA capacity. For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to take on the role of Senior Lunchtime Supervisor, paid at HLTA grade. We are looking for someone who is patient, kind, and understanding. Professional development will be fully supported.


The Ideal Candidate Will:




Be a positive and reliable team member with excellent interpersonal skills Have experience covering whole classes in primary or early years settings Deliver pre-planned lessons confidently Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills Motivate and support children to achieve their potential Possess good literacy and numeracy skills Work effectively both independently and under the direction of the class teacher Support the school's strong Christian ethos Hold an HLTA qualification (desirable but not essential)
