The Governors and Headteacher at Abingdon Primary School are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable, patient and friendly teaching assistant, with midday assistant duties. The successful candidate will have a full induction and join our happy, inclusive school serving the South Reddish community, working as part of our wonderful and inspiring team.

You will:
Have the knowledge to be able to support children with their learning across the curriculum
Be willing to engage in training for whole school schemes e.g. Read, Write, Inc and The Write Stuff
Be kind, friendly and be an excellent team player
Enjoy working with children
Be flexible and adaptable in an exciting, fast-paced environment
Support children with a range of needs with their learning and self-regulation
Work well with other staff and agencies
Be extremely pro-active, have high expectations and be emotionally resilient
Have the ability to work in a 1:1 situation and to also teach groups
Be able to deliver interventions such as Speech & Language or Occupational Therapy (training will be provided)
Use technology such as iPads or computers to adapt work for children or support their learning
